Services & Rates
The Mountaintop Area Joint Sanitary Authority not only supplies waste water treatment, but also provides sewer inspection services for new construction and structure modifications.
Having problems?
The Mountaintop Area Joint Sanitary Authority should be your main contact for any sewer problem (e.g., blocked sewer, replacing or moving service lateral, grinder pump alarm).
If you are experiencing problems with a service lateral, an employee of the Authority should be contacted. The Authority will verify if the problem exists in the homeowner’s line or the Authority’s lines. The Authority will not assume responsibility for a blockage based on the opinion of a cleaning contractor if an employee of the Authority is not present during cleaning. There is no charge to have an employee present for this cleaning.
If the service lateral must be replaced because of deterioration of the line, or if it must be relocated for construction on the homeowner's property, a sewer permit must be obtained and the construction inspected by an Authority inspector.
Grinder pump not working or alarm sounding?
If your home is serviced by a grinder pump and you are using a pump approved by the Authority, the Authority will be your service agent. Authority personnel will replace your pump with a service core; they will repair your core if it is reparable and replace it in your tank. The cost to the homeowner is only the cost of the parts or any labor that cannot be performed by Authority personnel (e.g., rewinding or repairing the motor). All other labor, including removing, repairing and replacing the pump is provided as complimentary service to Authority customers.
